Immense amounts of data collected on the Internet can be harnessed for business and other purposes. In this course, students learn basic skills for finding and analyzing data, identifying patterns in it, and presenting results in a succinct manner. Development of these practical skills is framed by readings on consumer behavior, market segmentation, and the privacy issues that arise from the collection, use, and abuse of personal and consumer information.
