An introduction to Brazilian rhythms in the tradition of the Rio de Janeiro samba schools. No prior drumming experience is required. Learn to work with specific rhythms like samba, partido alto, afoxe, maracatu, baião, samba reggae, etc. Learn to play surdo, tamborim, agogo, repinique, chocalho, caixa. For drummers we will also apply some of the percussion patterns to the drum set.
