An ensemble that explores the rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic musical style and performance practice of Swing Era artists from the 1930s through the 1950s. Musicians studied may include Duke Ellington, Billy Strayhorn, Ben Webster, "Sweets" Edison, Lester Young, Coleman Hawkins, and Billie Holiday. Students will be selected through an audition process.
