Charles Mingus, one of the most important composers/band leaders in Jazz history, contributed much to the formation of modern Jazz. This class is devoted to listening, analysis and performance of Mingus’ compositions. Attention will be focused on capturing the experimental spirit of the Mingus Jazz Workshop.
