Each spring, Lang College invites a prominent guest artist to either restage an existing work or to create a new work with Lang students. Participants in the class engage in an intensive rehearsal process that culminates in a public performance. Residencies often include study of the guest artist's history and influences, including the social, political, and aesthetic contexts that have affected the artist's life and work. This year's residency is taught by representatives from the Trisha Brown Dance Company, who are re-staging original work by Trisha Brown, one of the most widely acclaimed choreographers to emerge from the post-modern era. Audition required.
