Social Neuroscience is an expanding field which integrates the complementarity of biological and psychological approaches to understanding human thought, feeling, and behavior influenced by the actual, imagined or implied presence of other human beings. The course will survey current research in perception, emotion, memory, social cognition, empathy, stereotyping, prejudice, as well as the social neuroscience of design, aesthetics, and systems thinking. Prerequisite: One Lang fundamentals course or ULEC 2160, Introduction to Psychology, with a grade of C or higher.
