This seminar is an introduction to the interdisciplinary field of Health Psychology. Students will gain a better understanding of how an individual's health is influenced by biological, psychosocial, cultural, and socioeconomic factors. This course will be taught from a critical lens as it explores fundamental theories in the field along with topics including chronic physical and mental illnesses, genetic predispositions, interpersonal and community violence, and wellness culture.
