Course Reference Number: 1766
Credits: 3
This course is designed for students to complete film projects originating in Digital Film-Making: Production (NMDS 5432), their final capstone projects of the Digital Cinema area of Study. The study of the art and craft of editing is conducted through editorial practice as students assemble diegetic and non-diegetic imagery and sound in order to complete their films. Form and concept are emphasized as students use industry-standard software and hardware tools to edit their own individual projects, preparing films for the final mix. Class time is divided among editing exercises, lectures, group discussions, and screenings. Students must have all synchronized film dailies transferred to mini-dv prior to the first class.
