In this course, students will approach illustration, presentation, and imaging through a digital lens, and will transcend natural media processes into digital space. Students will explore a variety of illustration and presentation styles in both static and time-based formats including GIFs and videos. Tools will include digital apps such as Photoshop, a drawing stylus, and pressure-sensitive graphics tablet. Pressure sensitivity reveals additional options for graphic applications and new dimensions for personal and creative expression. In addition, iPad paint apps will be explored to supplement the creation process. Students will also receive instruction on motion art and digital video formats.
