In this introductory class we will use smartphone technology and social media to explore fashion photography and fashion films. This course will also serve as a basic introduction to the recent history and genres of fashion photography. Students will be exposed to smartphone technology, printing techniques and strategies for digital dissemination. Through lectures, presentations and critiques students will develop knowledge of the fashion world, contemporary visual culture, and social media platforms. This class is about making meaningful pictures in the continually evolving world of fashion and social media.
