This is a hybrid history and practicum course on technical theater – production and design. Designed as a short intensive, students will be introduced to the history of stage mechanics, design application for theater, basic sound system operations, basic lighting instrument operations and the management of production design meetings. Both theoretical and practical students will have a working understanding of how to relate to and build common lexicon with professional theater designers for production application.
