French Intensive 1.5

Fall 2021 - Paris

Taught By: Claudia Fontu

Section: PC1

CRN: 9809

Credits: 3

French Intensive 1.5 is designed for false beginner students. These are students who have already had some exposure to the French language: either through traveling, because they have taken short courses, or because they interact with French speakers. Yet these students still need to master the basics. The pace of French Intensive 1.5 will be slightly faster than in French Intensive 1. There will be activities that will allow students to reinforce their knowledge and further practice. Students will be able to ask questions and to understand, to express, to write and to read basic information about their identity, their surrounding and familiar topics such as the academic environment, family, food, home environment, habitual activities and hobbies, going out, and travelling. Class activities will promote basic communicative and cultural skills and introduce the fundamentals of the French language. This course will cover grammatical and communicational structures of the A1 level, but also a series of structures of the A2 level.
