Designed for students who have completed French Intermediate 1 or the equivalent, this course focuses on the dynamics of everyday speech, both formal and informal. Students practice listening and speaking through structured dialogues, phonetic exercises, oral presentations and spontaneous conversations. The course will use various media (newspapers, magazines and movies) and will include filming French people in Paris, transcribing these interviews and analyzing the data in order to develop the students’ vocabulary as well as their ability to understand and reproduce French idiomatic expressions. Students will learn how to express themselves with ease while discussing a myriad of topics of interest. This course is entirely conducted in French.
