A department-wide project that takes the three Mozart/da Ponte operas - Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Così fan tutte - and spends the year in a deep-dive engagement into the history, the language, the music, the coaching, the dramaturgy, the challenges and the performance of these three masterpieces. Each student, in consultation with their voice teacher, will be given the opportunity to choose up to three roles (depending on size and scale) from the operas to learn, coach, and perform over the course of the year.
