Duos for Piano and Strings is a performance-based course open to piano and string majors. Designed for the improvement of ensemble skills through the study of sonata and two-piano repertoire, this course focuses on the development of personal musicianship, the discussion of interpretive issues and strategies, and the improvement of technical expertise related to duo repertoire. Works are the students’ choice, drawn from the Baroque through contemporary repertoire. Students will be expected to rehearse in preparation for class performances.
