This class will serve as an overview of several current compositional practices used by composers, arrangers, orchestrators, and producers. The majority of the practices include the use of improvising musicians, and the use of technology throughout the compositional process. Members of the class work both alone and collaboratively in the creation of new works, while they study existing works by influential composers.
