Creative Technologies: Live Video & Performance is a collaborative workshop that investigates the dramaturgy and production techniques of contemporary performances involving live camera feeds in video projection. The course interweaves principles of acting, directing, playwriting and projection design into a series of short original student performance projects. Projects will be designed to integrate live video projections within a dramaturgical context. The course will focus on project development process, and also offers basic training in video hardware, software, projection programming and cueing processes. Workshop sessions will be supplemented by readings, screenings and professional examples.
