This is an advanced level course in the techniques, tools and methodologies for the creation and design of video projections for professional production environments. The course focuses on contemporary practices of content creation for integration within live performances, video installations and commercial event design. Students will work with photography, video production, editing and animation. An intermediate level of proficiency is expected of students in these areas. The course includes advanced video programming in a variety of media servers and introduces students to the fundamental principles of chromakeying (blue screen compositing) and video projection mapping. Through a series of projects, students produce original digital content and create video projection designs for final presentations. Pre-Requisites: Creative Technologies 1, Intermediate CT: Performance & Technology or Intermediate CT: Live Video & Performance (or Parsons/Lang Equivalents). Preferred pre-requisite Intermediate CT: Visual Adaptation.
