This class looks at basic patterns of movement and tension that are the underpinnings of all our activities - from daily life to the specialized demands of music making. It teaches how to use your body in a streamlined manner, engaging appropriate tension for the task at hand. You learn how to efficiently coordinate body and mind to support your musical endeavors, reducing strain in areas that tend to overwork. The class is experiential and tailored for the needs of musicians. All students receive hands-on guidance from the instructor. All students are required to provide their own yoga mats.
