Cinema Projects is a collaborative workshop composed of 3rd Year MFA Drama students and MA Media Studies students in the spring semester. The cinema projects are original short narrative films written by MFA Drama Playwrights in the fall semester. MFA Drama Directors each direct one of these screenplays in the spring semester. Current MFA Drama Acting students perform in the films. The short films are produced during the Spring semester in collaboration with the School of Media Studies. 1st and 2nd Year MA Media Studies students enter into the primary roles of Director of Photography, Editor, Co-Producer, Sound Recordist, Sound Designer, First Assistant Director, Gaffer and/or Key Grip and participate in the making of the short films. To register for the course, MA Media Students must first apply for the workshop with a portfolio and resume submission to instructor William Cusick. Online application is available here - Completed films are screened on-campus at the conclusion of the spring semester.
