This course lays the foundation for the following Ear Training Courses. Focus on melodic intervals, single dyads, Major tonality in dictation and sight singing. A first encounter with the Minor and Pentatonic Scales as well as the Diatonic Modes. Diatonic triads and their inversions, basic chord progressions and Triadic voice leading. Seventh chords in root position. Emphasis on identification, vocal replication and notation.
