In this service-learning course, students will partner with nonprofit and community organizations to create a program, event, or project that supports people of underrepresented genders in music. Students will work in groups to assess their populations' needs, craft a fitting program, and present a full proposal. Students of all genders are welcome. Class led by Chica Power, a program for female identifying and non-binary instrumentalists at Jazz House Kids in Montclair, NJ.
