Latin America is producing some of the most outstanding documentaries and fiction films in the world today. We will explore the most recent female productions, through selected lectures, screenings and discussions, which will address a broad range of topics from social and political to self-reflection. Each work selected will be analyzed and discussed from different formal approaches, giving students the opportunity to understand cinematographic language, the ideas driving women’s filmmaking today and their view from Latin America.
