This course explores the profound influence of feminist theory and politics on the field of cultural studies since the discipline's development in the 1960s. This course also offers a survey of some key works by feminist cultural studies scholars. Students will read articles and books by Angela McRobbie, Janice Radway, Ien Ang, Sarah Ahmed, Sarah Thorton, Rosi Braidotti, and Tricia Rose among other key thinkers.
