In this course, we will use reportage and analysis of economic events happening right now to deepen understanding of economic concepts and to apply them. The course is for advanced undergraduate students of economics who have already completed Introduction to Political Economy, Intermediate Microeconomics and Intermediate Macroeconomics. Each week, the class will critically discuss and analyze reports and analyses of economic issues appearing in the media, in particular in the Financial Times. The goal of the course is to build a bridge between theory and reality, equipping students to understand and participate in current economic debates with a higher level of sophistication.
