Taught By: Andrew Calderon
In this course we will study the ways that journalists go about working with and for the communities they report on to shine light on problems, fill information gaps and create resources for community action and problem solving. By the end of this class, you should be able to create your own surveys, conceive of and work through an engagement design process and do some basic data analysis, as well as develop an engagement product that meets a community need or want. This course satisfies the Form Elective requirement for the Journalism + Design major.
