In this context, post-production encompasses more than simply operating a video editing program. The curriculum will outline the opportunity to create engaging video journalism, utilizing source material from today’s immense web of immediately available media. Prescribed assignments will be given, as well as assignments to pitch, research and develop stories. Some assignments will include reporting and shooting in the field. Students will have opportunities to work autonomously, as well as in groups. The course will culminate in a final project – a portfolio piece.
