In this writing-intensive course, we will map various immigrant narratives. We will begin with the anthology, Becoming American: Personal Essays by First Generation Immigrant Women. Students will be expected to write both literary analysis and personal essays. Possible authors may include Gloria Anzaldua, Jhumpa Lahiri, Edwidge Danticat, Amy Tan, and Min Jin Lee.
