This course is designed to assist students in understanding the basic elements of speaking in public. Students will learn to recognize their own distinct speech patterns and use exercises to explore the tools and methods necessary for engaging in clear and persuasive communication. The students will develop an understanding of the basic principles of both verbal and nonverbal messages while sharpening their listening skills and confidence to speak publicly in a wide range of situations. This skill-based course will seek to alleviate the anxiety around public speaking.
