One of the most prominent forms of Muslim mysticism is known as Sufism. While it is often portrayed as a “happy clappy Islam,” it is committed to radical personal and social change. This course explores the motivations of Sufis, celebrates their artistic contributions, and investigates the link between personal and social transformation. No prior knowledge of Islam is necessary.
