This year-long collaborative course is composed of 3rd Year MFA students from the program in Dramatic Arts during the Fall Semester and expands in the Spring Semester to include MA and BFA students from the School of Media Studies, Lang, Jazz and Mannes programs. During the Fall Semester, MFA Drama Playwrights each develop and complete two short screenplays for production in the Spring. In the Spring semester, MFA Drama Directors direct these original screenplays. MFA Drama Acting students perform in the films. The short films are produced in collaboration with the School of Media Studies and scored by student composers from Mannes and School of Jazz. To register for the course, MA Media Students must first apply for the workshop with a portfolio and resume submission to workshop faculty, William Cusick. The online application is available here and applications are open for Spring 2019 - Spring 2019 Application.

Media Studies courses are open to all graduate students. Undergraduate Juniors and Seniors with permission from the instructor and BA/MA Media studies students should email mediastudiesadvising@newschool.edu for access.
