A poet, visual artist, and performer, Juliana Huxtable has created a collection of poems and writing that considers authenticity and socialization in her debut book Mucus in My Pineal Gland. Juliana Huxtable joins the class for an online reading and discussion. From the publisher: “Gathering for the first time, poems, performance scripts, and essays, this startling new book expands Huxtable’s critique of gender, sexuality, politics, whiteness, and history while establishing her as a singular poetic voice.” Please read Mucus in My Pineal Gland before the start of the literary salon.
