This course examines fundamental marketing concepts in the fashion marketing environment. Students explore consumer insights, positioning, competitive advantage and channel decisions from both a theoretical and practical approach. Students analyze and identify target markets and become aware of key marketing decisions as they develop a global marketing plan for a fashion company.

Open to: Associate Degree in Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing majors only; others by permission. NOTE: This course is not open to AAS Fashion Marketing and Communication majors as it significantly overlaps with the required course, PAFC 1100 Core 1. Students who have completed PAFC 1100 may not apply credit from this course (PAFM 1051) to the degree, due to similar course content.
