This course examines branding and the ways that brands are observed, perceived, and experienced. By studying brand models and theories students will begin to understand how brands create and maintain a distinct voice and identity, as well as a vision of how their brand fits within wider culture. Students will understand the challenges of brand management, exploring how to develop, nurture, and manage successful brands.

Open to: Associate Degree in Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing majors only, others by permission. Pre-requisites: PAFM 1051 Marketing 1: Fashion Marketing and PAFM 1190 Fashion Industry Profile.
NOTE: This course is not open to AAS Fashion Marketing and Communication majors as it significantly overlaps with the required course, PAFC 1200 Core 2. Students who have completed PAFC 1200 may not apply credit from this course (PAFM 1061) to the degree, due to similar course content.
