This AFM capstone course enables students the opportunity to work together in an environment that simulates the daily activities of a merchandiser and designer. Students evaluate a wide-range of merchandising strategies to gain knowledge of the apparel development process. Through weekly hands-on exercises that examine line planning, color forecasting, trend analysis, consumer research, fabric development and line editing students merchandise a collection for the upcoming season.

Open to: Associate degree in Fashion Marketing only, others by permission. Pre-requisite(s): PAFM 1190 Fashion Industry Profile and PAFM 1080 Merchandising and PAFS Fashion Digital (PAFS 1428 Kaledo, 1439 Intensive, or 1441 Photoshop) OR Fashion Industry Survey PAFC 1000.
