The problem of making life more meaningful and work more humane is one everyone must face; indeed, it has been called the central problem of our time. In this course we read and hear discussed historical, fictional, economic and sociological works that can help each of us become more intelligently aware of the many dimensions of this problem, and more courageously self-determined in solving it.

Open to: All university undergraduate degree students. Pre-requisite(s): first-year university writing course and at least one prior history or methods course in art, media, film, or visual culture.
