Students will be introduced to advanced principles of typesetting and understand how these apply across the various domains of communication design. Students will learn to research a subject, conceptualize an idea, produce a design and discuss their project. Through hands-on exercises, research and discussions, the course will examine various topics of communication design including visual language, layout, photography, bookbinding and 3D design. Each assignment will be contextualize through studies in design history and research.

Open to: All University undergraduate degree students. Some seats have been reserved for Associates Degree in Communication Design students. Pre-requisite: PAGD 1060 Typography 1 or PACD 1100 Core 1:Typography or PSAM 1070 CD Foundation
