This course examines how designers can use the methods and visual tools of design to enable public issues, social causes, and organizations to effectively create awareness and impact. Drawing upon past learning in typography and interaction, students will adopt an iterative approach to strategically address issues of audience, participation, behavior, and culture through the use of visual form and media. Note: this course was previously offered under the title Designing for Non-Profits. Open to: All Parsons undergraduate degree students. Some seats reserved for Communication Design students.
