In this elective studio, students will be asked to identify their personal brand, develop a position strategy for their practice, and creatively present their textile work upon completion of their thesis. In support of this work, students will develop a visual and written narrative of their textile practice by reflecting on their own textile practice and considering how their practice will fit into the larger society. By applying principles of communication design, students will explore how to document and present their textiles making processes and designs - both online and offline. Students will complete an artist statement, produce a thesis book and create a digital online portfolio by the end of this course.
