How have archives shaped what we think we know about a place? What kinds of everyday experiences of place have been overlooked or left unrepresented? Field School "Dig Where You Stand" will creatively interrupt and decolonize the mediated images and archives that preserve and maintain the history of a place, and speculatively rewrite participants' observations back into this history. This workshop is a collaboration between the Observational Practices Lab, Parsons, and the Laboratory for Art and Research, University of Cologne. Students interested in participating in this intensive workshop - offered from May 24th to 29th - may learn more about the opportunity and how to apply at www.observationalpractices.org/fieldschool21/.
