Virtual Objects & Environments

Spring 2022

Taught By: Faculty TBA

Section: A

CRN: 11979

Credits: 3

In this course we will be exploring 3D objects and environments in the physical and digital world. Through model making in 3D software and the creation of physical objects we will explore how our identities live, expand, and evolve as we occupy multi dimensions in nonlinear forms. We will be discussing theory to help us understand what we make conceptually and drive deeper meaning into our practice. Individually we will be asked to explore who we are at the core and how we occupy spaces online and offline. In this course students will gain exposure to 3D software and modeling, exposure to mixed realities such as augmented and virtual reality, and a theoretical exploration of themselves in the worlds they are creating.

Open to: Parsons First Year students, and others, space provided.
