Continuation of the foundation of the Stanislavsky technique. The technique is designed to free the student's instrument, stimulate imagination and provide the student with a greater self awareness so they can use their own unique instrument to make bold, deep, affecting choices while trusting their instincts and impulses. Understanding of objectives and actions vs. behaviors are also fundamental. Sensory exercises will be assigned along with improvisations to demonstrate application and to learn how to explore circumstances of a scene. Through exercies and scene work, students will gain the ability to make informed choices, manifest intention, commit to actions and live truthfully, moment to moment in scenes, Performance of 2-3 scenes from contemporary theatre.
