The Neutral American Speech lab constitutes a series of weekly independent sessions over the course of the semester during which the student will apply the skills learned in Neutral American Speech 2 to the text he or she is working on in class or rehearsal. Within the broader context of the New School for Drama course of study, the objective of the Neutral American Speech Lab is to give the student individualized coaching and extra practice time on those specific issues that continue to inhibit full neutrality while simultaneously rehearsing neutral speech on the given text for class and rehearsal.

Students who wish to enroll in a graduate theater course at The New School for Drama must be accepted into the graduate theater program as a full-time student.
