Course builds on the work of the 1st year focusing on the creative and performing needs of the actor. The aim is to support the student's growth and development in the 2nd year of the program by gainig a freer, more balanced and dynamic expression of the whole self. We will increase the aility to give attentionto how we embody our physical instrument as well as the ability to give thoughtfor creating optimal conditions for revealing increased range of expression. The capacity to observe, have awareness of impulse/intention, inhibit patterns of blocking impulse/intention, and then play with increased range of CHOICE.

Students who wish to enroll in a graduate theater course at The New School for Drama must be accepted into the graduate theater program as a full-time student.
