This course focuses on the fundamental work associated with the free, flexible, and colorful release of spoken thoughts and feelings that coordinate with clear speech and expressive language use. An enhanced attention to communication will demand that the actor learn to balance emotions, intellect, body, and voice. Focusing on the techniques required for the sustainable and highly expressive production of emotionally heightened text, the work of this course seeks to reveal the depth of the imagination, through the text, by the use of the voice that must be long, wide, strong and tender enough to do so successfully.
