Fall 2020

Section: A
CRN: 9804
Credits: 3
Advanced Playwriting is an opportunity to write and workshop the first act of a new play (or a full length if you write quickly)--and/or you may rework a full-length play begun in the last 18 months. In addition to realizing this new project, you will learn how to deepen your ability to talk about a play, and we will examine different storytelling strategies depending on the work that arises from the class. Readings may be assigned inspired by student work as well. Bring your love of dramatic writing, a spirit of mutual respect, theatrical curiosity, a willingness to work hard, and emotional fearlessness.
