War in Ukraine
Summer 2022
Taught By: Jessica Pisano
Section: L
CRN: 3225
Much of the world began to know Ukraine and Ukrainians after Russia launched its full scale invasion in February 2022. Who are Ukrainians today? How do they understand the attack on their country? How has Ukrainian society responded in politics, literature, and the arts? This course puts students in direct dialogue with Ukrainian scholars, artists, and others from across Ukraine. Students interested in learning about Russia and its politics may consider enrolling in the Spring 2023 ULEC "Russia and America" (also taught by Professor Pisano).
