This course is an intensive project-based studio, focusing on spatial narrative. Students investigate storytelling through the lens of both physical and virtual environments along varying degrees of scale and context including tactile/ sensory, locative/ mobile, and physical/ artificial. We consider how spaces and 'objects in space' can function as narrative elements. Students produce projects with increasing complexity, focusing on precedents and iterative creative processes. Emphasis is on critical awareness, articulated art and design research, and creative engagement.
