"This course provides a hands-on support lab for Core Studio 1 NARRATIVE to introduce students to methods of art and design production through analog, digital and variable media. Iterational processes, ways of display, interaction, dissemination and creating publics are examined whether intended for physical and/or virtual output. Each student will identify two specific fluencies they wish to develop; one familiar, the second new and/or unfamiliar. Guest specialist advisors will contribute throughout the semester according to the scope of student projects and areas of concentration. Students will journal their technical progress throughout the semester via online blogging, and will be required to host at least one demo-style “Technical Workshop” during the semester for the whole group, illuminating a topic discovered through their investigations. Co-requisite: Core Studio 1: NARRATIVE APAM 2006 "
