This course is designed to expand the visual vocabulary of advanced art and design students through experimentation in color, expression, and material processes. Half of the course will be dedicated to painting and half to printmaking techniques, and will encourage a dialog between both. These experiments will emphasize recyclable materials and the physical presence of handmade artworks. Only water-based paints and inks will be used. (3 credits) This studio class is open to junior and senior BFA students. (maximum enrollment 16 students) Students should anticipate approximately 100 euros for materials depending on their choice of support: (wood, paper, canvas or other textile).
